Flash SMS
Flash-SMS is VAS feature to standard SMS delivery. It automatically appears on the recipient's mobile phone screen rather than being delivered in the normal way to inbox. Unless you choose to save the flash message, it will disappear upon navigating away and will not saved in your inbox.
It is most commonly used to immediately catch the recipient's attention, and send out messages that you want someone to read immediately.
Usage examples:
- Emergency Alerts, e.g. Fire Alarm or Flood Alerts, Traffic Info
- Cases of Confidentiality, e.g. one-time password (OTP)
- Mobile Operator Internal Marketing Campaign to own subscribers
- Corporate Marketing Campaign, e.g. Retailers, etc
